These girls have seen you at your best, and pulled you up from your worst. There is no one else you could imagine standing next to you on your Big Day. It’s a big responsibility, being a bridesmaid - they have to make sure the Bride is well taken care of, help to organize the day itself, and potentially help hold up her dress when she has to use the washroom - not always an easy feat! These girls deserve to feel a little pampered themselves, and since you love them so much, here are a few ways to make sure they know how appreciated they are!

Pop the Question

There are so many cute and creative ways for Brides to ask their “maids” to stand next to them on their biggest day, so it is important to stay true to who they are. This may take a little thinking, and possibly some tweaking between girls. Asking them does not have to be expensive - it’s far more important to be sentimental! Some Brides choose to gather all their girls to ask them all at the same time (which can be super adorable), but sometimes asking them individually can make the request feel even more personal and special. We have compiled a few sweet ideas to make sure she says “YES!”

Help them Anyway you can

Weddings are certainly not cheap ventures - and being a bridesmaid is no exception to this! Between the dress, shoes, makeup, hair, and any other festivities leading up to the Big Day, it can certainly put a dent in anyone's wallet. If you are able to budget it, possibly set aside some money to help your girls pay for hair or makeup. For out-of-town or destination weddings, helping them with the cost of travel is something they would certain appreciate! It just shows how important they are to you, and how much you really really want them to be there!!!

Give them some options

Mixed bridesmaid dresses are really in right now, and if done right, it looks incredible! This gives your girls the freedom to choose something they feel comfortable in, and something that fits within their budget. If giving this freedom is a little scary to you as the Bride, you can make it an outting - to make sure they all match to your liking. If you are looking to keep things more traditional, try choosing a cost-effective dress for everyone. Letting them choose their own shoes is also a great idea.

Pamper!

Just before the wedding, get your girls together and spend some quality girl time with your ladies. A spa day is always a great way to bond, or even a nice dinner out to prepare and relax all together! Scheduling all their nail appointments at the same location can also bring everyone together - and don’t forget the bubbly! This is a time to sit back, relax, discuss any final details, and laugh….LOTS!

Day-Of

  • Make sure your girls are fed! This goes for the entire wedding party, including you and your soon-to-be. This sounds simple, but time flies so fast on this day, make sure you have snacks and beverages on hand at all times!

  • Give them a few small tasks, but nothing major! You want them to enjoy the day, but providing them with a task makes them feel included and really needed that day - aside from their stunning good looks!

  • Let them sit with their families or significant others. This is a relatively new idea, and we think it is fabulous! This way they can sit and enjoy their meal with their families, and not leave their significant others stuck at a table with people they don’t know.

Thank them!

A simple thank you goes along way! Aside from spoiling them with a super cute thank-you gift, make sure you make a point after the wedding day to really acknowledge all that they did to help make your dream day possible! This simple gesture will not go unnoticed!
